Registration Override Request Form

ADVISING UPDATE

Due to prerequisite errors published in the catalog (specifically for IT 293 and IT 207), the IST advising team is experiencing an increase in the volume of override requests. You may expect to receive a reply to your request(s) within 4 business days of submission.

Use the form below to submit override requests for SYST 469, AIT, or IT courses. Submit only one course per form and be sure to use your George Mason email address.

Before submitting your form, review the IST registration override requirements and confirm all details are accurate and complete. Requests with multiple courses or incorrect information (e.g., typos in G#, non-George Mason email, or invalid term) will not be processed.

Requests sent for non-AIT/IT/SYST 469 will not be processed. Contact the department offering the course for further assistance.

BAS students interested in registering for IT courses will need to submit a BAS override request.

ADVANCE students interested in taking IT 102 will need to have their ADVANCE coach send an email to BSIT@gmu.edu that includes:

  • Student Name
  • Student G#
  • Student George Mason email address
  • Copy of student's VCCS transcript demonstrating completion of or enrollment in a MATH 108 or 113 equivalent

Requests are reviewed two weeks before registration opens. Please allow up to 4 business days for a response.
